Yama Rama Embarks on UK Tour Following Release of Emotionally Charged Single "Some Days"

Yama Rama, the latest musical venture from Astrid founder Charlie Clark, is hitting the road this May for a short tour across the UK. Joined by Christopher James Johnston, Mark Makay, and Michael Wilson, Clark is ready to introduce audiences to his newest project with a series of live performances in Glasgow, Liverpool, and London.
The tour announcement comes hot on the heels of the release of Yama Rama's latest single, "Some Days." A fuzzy, folky, psychedelic lament, the track serves as a warm introduction to this Scottish-based quartet, drawing comparisons to the likes of Kurt Vile and Fleet Foxes.
Despite its upbeat sonic flow, "Some Days" delves into Clark's tumultuous journey through life's challenges, including the dissolution of his previous band, No Big Deal, and personal struggles. Reflecting on his experiences, Clark shares, "The song was written in the eye of the storm... Going through liquidation, losing No Big Deal, my reputation screwed, breaking up with my partner and trying to keep it together enough to be a good Dad."
Through the darkest of times, Clark found solace in music, founding Yama Rama and channeling his emotions into his art. Recorded and produced by longtime collaborator Jason Shaw at Fuzzface Studios, "Some Days" is a testament to Clark's resilience and creativity.
Accompanied by an official video shot on the cliff tops of Gress, Clark's birthplace on the Isle of Lewis, the visual treatment adds an intimate yet haunting dimension to the song's narrative. Designed by Olya Dyer, known for her work with The Underground Youth and other notable acts, the artwork further enhances the single's evocative nature.
As Yama Rama gears up for their upcoming tour, fans can stream "Some Days" on all major platforms and anticipate more captivating releases from this dynamic ensemble.
