South London's most chaotic live force Fat Dog have shared explosive new single 'Shit Love', the latest taste of their forthcoming second album, Cancel Me (I'm Tired), arriving 2 October via Domino.
Following previous singles 'Cancel Me (I'm Tired)' and 'Go Fuck Urself', the band's latest offering is a whirlwind of stabbing synths, relentless beats and manic energy. Frontman Joe Love describes the track as being about "two fucking insane people who argue constantly and they are world-enders every time," perfectly capturing the band's trademark blend of absurdity and intensity.
The new release continues the momentum behind Cancel Me (I'm Tired), a bold 10-track record that sees Fat Dog pushing beyond the frenzied post-punk of their acclaimed debut. Blending electro-pop, rave, rock'n'roll, psychedelia, orchestral flourishes and even country influences, the album promises to be their most ambitious and adventurous work to date.
Despite the album's tongue-in-cheek title, Fat Dog show no signs of disappearing. The band have enjoyed widespread support across BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Radio X, Absolute Radio, Virgin Radio and Kerrang! Radio, while continuing to cement their reputation as one of the UK's most exhilarating live acts.
To celebrate the album's release, the seven-piece have expanded their October in-store tour with additional matinee performances in Bristol, London and Nottingham, alongside newly announced appearances including Brighton's Mutations Festival. The in-store run begins in Kingston on 2 October, giving fans the chance to catch the band in intimate settings before they head out on an extensive UK and European tour this autumn.
Fat Dog's rise has been nothing short of remarkable since the release of their 2024 debut WOOF., with the band earning rave reviews for their unpredictable, high-octane performances, including a headline-grabbing run of four Glastonbury sets in just 27 hours. With Cancel Me (I'm Tired), they're proving the chaos is only just getting started.
