KINORI & CASHIRO’s Shy Boy is a blend of playful vocals, soft synths, and a hook built for repeat listens. Even though the chorus has a light pop feel, the verses switch into rap delivery, adding attitude and contrast to the song. Shy Boy stands out with a duo dynamic: a female rapper (KINORI) and male rapper (CASHIRO) trading perspectives of the confident and teasing girl and the soft-spoken and flustered shy guy. The track arrives alongside a high-energy DJ EDEN remix that flips the original into a full club moment.
PinkPantheress & Ice Spice – “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2”
This one was a reference for us. We love how the vocals feel light, effortless and almost shy — but still catchy enough to go viral. The way PinkPantheress floats over the beat and Ice Spice brings confidence into the mix showed us that you can blend softness and attitude in the same song. That playful-but-not-trying-too-hard vibe was exactly what we wanted for Shy Boy.
Mirani – “Make You Mine”
The vocal chop effect in this track basically unlocked the idea for our chorus. We didn’t just want a standard pop hook; we wanted something that repeats, flips, and becomes part of the production. Mirani proved that chopped vocals can still feel emotional, not just glitchy. That’s how the “shy boy, shy boy” hook was born.
Keltiey – “Need”
We also drew inspiration from this one. With its energetic jersey-club beat and effervescent synths, “Need” showed us how you can combine real rhythmic bounce with soft melodic textures. For Shy Boy, we wanted that underlying groove — the parts that make you move — but layered with dreamy synths so the track could work both for headphones and the dancefloor.
Disco Lines & Ship Wrek – “I Don’t Trust A Soul”
DJ Ship Wrek was a reference artist for the Shy Boy remix. We love how it takes a clean vocal idea and drops it into a high-energy, club-ready production without losing the emotional feel. The way the drums bounce and the synths pulse was exactly the kind of energy we wanted — something that still feels melodic, but hits way harder than the original. The tech house remix of Shy Boy is basically the moment when the shy boy finally steps onto the dance floor. Link:
