The Lemon Twigs Unleash Power-Pop Anthem "My Golden Years" Following Acclaimed 2023 Album

New York's dynamic sibling duo, The Lemon Twigs, renowned for their sophisticated pop sound, continue their musical journey with the release of "My Golden Years" on Captured Tracks. This marks their first offering since the critically acclaimed 2023 LP, Everything Harmony, which garnered widespread acclaim and secured a place among the best albums of the year according to Paste, The Guardian, Mojo, Far Out, and Shindig!

Described as one of the hottest rock bands in America by Paste, The Lemon Twigs are not resting on their laurels. "My Golden Years" pays homage to the smooth harmonies of The Beach Boys, the energy of Raspberries, and the shimmering 12-string textures of The Byrds. The brothers characterize the track as a power-pop anthem, centered around "making every minute count and living up to your potential."

The accompanying video, directed by Ambar Navarro, captures the essence of the song, exploring the highs and lows of the band's journey, from moments of mischief to open fields. The visual narrative delves into the vulnerability of artists putting themselves out to constant rejection, ultimately finding peace and freedom in the act of performing.

Everything Harmony left an indelible mark on the music scene, earning praise from Pitchfork, CREEM, SPIN, Stereogum, GQ, and more. The album's standout track, "Any Time Of Day," claimed the title of Anthony Fantano/The Needle Drop's #1 most played song of the year.

As the band enters 2024, "My Golden Years" sets the stage for what promises to be another thrilling chapter in The Lemon Twigs' musical odyssey. With their unique blend of nostalgic influences and contemporary flair, the duo continues to captivate audiences and solidify their position as one of the most exciting acts in rock. Stay tuned for more from The Lemon Twigs in 2024, as they show no signs of slowing down.
