Nashville-born artist Bandit Heart has unveiled new single Goodtime Best Friend, a warm, orchestral pop love song that turns the rush of everyday intimacy into something cinematic.

Out now via APOLLO Distribution, the track is built around shimmering Mellotron swells, soulful melodies and a widescreen sense of freedom, with Bandit Heart writing the song as a direct celebration of his partner, Jonathan.

“It is an exclamation of love for my partner Jonathan whose smile reminds me of the sun,” Bandit Heart says. “The chorus is full of a feel-good melody that makes driving down the highway feel endless and free.”

There’s a hazy, late-summer glow running through Goodtime Best Friend, with lush orchestration giving the track a sense of lift while keeping its emotional core close and personal. It’s romantic without being overly grand — a song about the kind of connection that makes ordinary moments feel enormous.

Bandit Heart’s Mellotron-led arrangement gives the track its distinctive shimmer, while the easy-going melody evokes long drives, open roads and the euphoric freedom of being completely comfortable with someone.

The song also taps into the spirit of the “cosmic cowboy” era, filtering its feel-good optimism through a modern pop lens. Rather than chasing drama, Goodtime Best Friend revels in uncomplicated affection — a full-hearted celebration of finding someone who feels like home.

With Goodtime Best Friend, Bandit Heart continues to build a catalogue around intimacy, sincerity and expansive arrangements, proving that sometimes the biggest pop moments come from the simplest feeling: being wildly happy with another person.

Listen to ‘Goodtime Best Friend’ now via APOLLO Distribution.
