Purple Disco Machine is going interstellar.

The Grammy Award-winning producer, real name Tino Piontek, has announced his fourth studio album, Cosmotropia, set for release on April 30, 2027 via RCA — and has unveiled its first taste in the form of new single Test My Luck, featuring rising British pop artist MEEK.

Drawing inspiration from the cosmic disco and space-rock sounds of the 1970s and ’80s, Cosmotropia looks beyond the dancefloor to explore the sounds that shaped Piontek’s musical identity. Records by Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Kraftwerk sit alongside his fascination with European disco from France, Italy and Germany.

The result promises to be a distinctly Purple Disco Machine take on retro-futurism: expansive, melodic and built for movement, while retaining the polished production that has made Piontek one of dance music’s biggest crossover artists.

Test My Luck provides the first glimpse. Featuring MEEK, the track pairs warm keys and vibrant disco production with an ‘80s disco-rock edge, landing somewhere between dancefloor anthem and widescreen pop. MEEK’s vocals add a sharper alternative-pop character, balancing confidence with vulnerability.

For Purple Disco Machine, the new album represents the next chapter following Soulmatic, Exotica and Paradise — a run that has delivered more than three billion streams, five Diamond Awards and a Grammy, alongside global hits including Hypnotized, Substitution, In The Dark and Devil In Me.

MEEK, meanwhile, arrives on the track after a rapid rise of her own. Named one of Rolling Stone UK’s artists to watch, the London singer-songwriter has written for artists including Rita Ora, Martin Garrix, Alan Walker and R3HAB, while her debut single Fabulous helped propel her into the spotlight. She has since appeared at Mighty Hoopla, Capital’s Summertime Ball and London Pride, as well as performing on Saturday Night Live UK and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

The Cosmotropia era will also extend to the live stage. Purple Disco Machine will headline La Discothèque at Drumsheds in London on Friday, November 13, before embarking on a European tour in autumn 2027 with a full live band, dancers and vocalists. German dates have already been announced, with general ticket sales beginning October 7.

With Cosmotropia, Purple Disco Machine is swapping the rear-view mirror for the stars — taking the disco revival into decidedly more cosmic territory.
