Bristol’s Sir Hiss has long been bending grime, electro, and techno into his sonic output—but ‘Don Gorgon’, the first single from his debut album Time Dilation (landing 2 October via Pineapple Records), which feels like a breakthrough moment.

Built with north-west London MC Logan, the track is pure voltage: grimey flute lines ricochet over robo-funk bass and precision drum programming, crafting a darkly playful weapon primed for sweaty basements and cavernous festival tents alike. Sir Hiss describes the album as “the collision of my past, present and future,” and that tension is alive in every bar and bass hit here.
