Bnnyhunna Sets the Tone for Forthcoming Album Selah With Double Single ‘The Heart Part 3 / The Missing Piece’

The award-winning Dutch-Ghanaian multi-instrumentalist unveils two immersive, jazz-infused recordings ahead of his next album, arriving this November.

Bnnyhunna is opening a new chapter with ‘The Heart Part 3 / The Missing Piece’, a double single that offers the first taste of his forthcoming album Selah, due this November via Avant Garden. Blending meditative jazz, African rhythms and contemporary electronic textures, the two tracks showcase an artist continuing to push beyond genre boundaries.

The release moves between two distinct moods. ‘The Heart Part 3’ drifts through delicate flutes and spacious instrumentation, creating a dreamy, almost weightless soundscape built for slowing down and getting lost in the moment. ‘The Missing Piece’, meanwhile, brings a sharper pulse, pairing driving drums and bright synths with jazz influences and rhythmic elements rooted in African musical traditions.

Together, the tracks offer a compelling introduction to Selah — a project centred on reflection, presence and finding space amid the noise of everyday life. Meaning ‘reflection’ in Hebrew, the album sees Bnnyhunna turn inward, using instrumental music to process personal experience and explore the world around him.

That introspective approach builds on the sound he has developed across a career spanning jazz, hip-hop, R&B and Afro-influenced music. As a producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Bnnyhunna plays a hands-on role in shaping his work, bringing together diverse influences without settling into any one lane.

The release follows a landmark run for the artist. His 2024 album Echoes of Prayer earned international attention and radio support, while its success helped secure him the prestigious 2025 Edison Pop Award in the Soul/R&B/Funk category. In 2026, he continued that momentum with Psalm Funk, a project weaving gospel, funk, jazz and African rhythms into a meditative, spiritually charged sound.

Recorded live in front of an intimate audience at Artone Studios in Haarlem, Selah marks the beginning of a recurring live-album series, bringing new compositions together with reimagined tracks from Bnnyhunna’s catalogue. If this double single is any indication, the next chapter will be less about chasing noise and more about creating room to feel.
