Maverick Sabre Drops Soul-Stirring New Single ‘Catch You’ Ahead of Brixton Academy Headline Show
The multi-platinum artist lays his emotions bare on a slow-burning new release, setting the tone for his highly anticipated London return.
Maverick Sabre is back with ‘Catch You’, a raw, soul-stirring new single that captures the ache of heartbreak and the uncertainty of letting someone slip away. Out now via FAMM, the release arrives ahead of his headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on 17 December.
Built around dark, atmospheric tones, strummed guitar and a slow-burning intro, ‘Catch You’ sees Mav lean into the emotional intensity that has defined his sound. Blending soulful vocals with bluesy, folk-tinged instrumentation, the track balances deeply personal heartbreak with a wider sense of unease, creating a reflective, understated release that hits hard.
The single follows Burn The Right Things Down, his acclaimed album that topped the Independent Albums Chart and was accompanied by a sold-out tour. More recently, Sabre featured on Kofi Stone’s Last Flowers To Bloom, continuing a run of collaborations that also includes Eerf Evil and Rules.
With a multi-platinum catalogue and credits alongside Jorja Smith, Olivia Dean, Nia Archives and Chase & Status, Maverick Sabre has carved out a distinctive space between soul, hip-hop and his blues and folk roots. His ability to fuse raw storytelling with genre-blurring production continues to set him apart as one of the UK and Ireland’s most compelling voices.
With ‘Catch You’, Sabre delivers another dose of unfiltered emotion — and a timely reminder of the power of his songwriting ahead of his Brixton Academy headline show.
‘Catch You’ is out now via FAMM.
