Tommy Saint returns with sultry new single “kalila” – a soulful step into alternative R&B

North London’s shape-shifting artist and producer Tommy Saint drops his latest single “kalila”, a genre-blurring slow-burner that deepens his venture into R&B while keeping his trademark precision intact. Released via 10K Projects (home to Aitch, Ice Spice, Trippie Redd), “kalila” arrives as the second chapter in a smoother, more intimate sonic shift for the artist, following June’s “control.”

Saint—who first grabbed attention with the viral hit “Elixir” and earned his stripes opening for UK underground favourite BlazeYL—has already drawn heavyweight co-signs from the likes of M Huncho, Nafe Smallz, AntsLive, Glizz, and more.

Built on a breezy, Bossa Nova-tinged acoustic loop and topped with Saint’s husky, magnetic vocals, “kalila” is a letter to a lost love wrapped in percussion-led minimalism and melodic vulnerability. It’s raw, intimate, and cinematic—crafted entirely by Saint himself, who produced, mixed, and mastered the track solo.

“I love the direct intimacy in hearing the name of the person that the song is addressed to,” he says, “yet being left with only the option to imagine them for yourself.”

It’s another clear sign of Saint’s evolution—from gritty rap beginnings to his current, genre-fluid sound rooted in mood, melody, and emotional honesty. With his sonic fingerprints on every part of the process, Saint continues to prove he’s not just riding the wave—he’s designing his own tide.
