GIRLBAND! LAY BARE THE DARK SIDE OF FRIENDSHIP ON HAUNTING NEW SINGLE ‘ALL MY FRIENDS’

With their self-titled debut album just days away, GIRLBAND! confront the loneliness hiding beneath the surface on their most personal track to date.
Behind the late nights, packed rooms and seemingly endless social lives, there can be a much darker reality. GIRLBAND! are confronting that head-on with their emotionally raw new single ‘All My Friends’ — a haunting, Radiohead-esque track that exposes the isolation and mental health struggles often concealed behind a carefully maintained façade.
Out now, the single is the latest preview of the band’s self-titled debut album, arriving 13 November 2026. Written during a period of profound personal despair, ‘All My Friends’ finds vocalist and guitarist Georgie attempting to make sense of a world that felt increasingly hollow, despite being surrounded by people.
“Probably the hardest song on the record for me to talk about,” Georgie admits. “It’s incredibly close and personal, because the lyrics are essentially me talking to myself… It’s not an easy song, but I’m really proud that it exists.”
The track captures the painful disconnect between appearing to have everything together and quietly falling apart. Working long hours, going out, drinking and playing the person everyone expected them to be, Georgie found themselves struggling with an overwhelming sense of loneliness.
“I was in a real state of despair when I wrote this and, at the time, nobody really knew,” they explain. “I felt completely hollow and incredibly lonely in the middle of everything.”
A moment of realisation — and reaching out to their girlfriend for help — became the catalyst for the song. What followed was an attempt to untangle the thoughts spiralling beneath the surface, turning an intensely personal experience into something others might recognise in themselves. It’s a stark reminder that struggling isn’t always visible, and that loneliness can persist even when you’re never physically alone.
That unflinching honesty runs throughout GIRLBAND!’s forthcoming debut. Written in real time amid touring, relationships, heartbreak and the chaos of figuring out life, the self-titled record explores the messy realities of being a young woman today. Love, sex, friendship, money, queerness and womanhood collide with the euphoria of nights out and the inevitable comedown — all delivered with the band’s trademark rawness and refusal to shy away from uncomfortable truths.
Following previous singles ‘5AM’ and ‘Neighbour’s House’ — the latter receiving an exclusive first play on BBC 6 Music before further support from Radio X — ‘All My Friends’ marks a darker, more vulnerable turn. Yet GIRLBAND! remain firmly committed to turning personal experiences into something bigger, finding connection in the things we often struggle to say out loud.
Already championed by NME, The Line of Best Fit, Rolling Stone UK, Clash and Dork, and supported by BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X, the band have played over 200 shows across the UK and Europe. Their live CV includes Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Festival, Reeperbahn and The Great Escape, alongside support slots with Sex Pistols, Jake Bugg, James, Palaye Royale, Destroy Boys and Nxdia.
With their debut album landing 13 November, GIRLBAND! are entering their biggest chapter yet — and ‘All My Friends’ makes clear that they’re not interested in sugar-coating the reality of being alive.
