SILVER MAN BRINGS CINEMATIC JAZZ WARMTH TO NEW SINGLE ‘EVERY STEP’

Out now via 3 Bar Fire Records

Silver Man returns with ‘Every Step’, a warm, cinematic new single blending hip hop-informed rhythms, jazz-inflected instrumentation and atmospheric electronic production. Out now via 3 Bar Fire Records, the track finds the music industry veteran embracing a more laid-back, reflective sound.

Built around strings, piano and brushed drums, ‘Every Step’ moves with a loose, late-night feel, while trumpet and discordant horns add a smoky jazz edge. Dusty vinyl crackle and carefully crafted samples give the track an organic warmth, creating the impression of a live performance despite its programmed foundations.

“I wanted to get a live feel to it, so you can imagine in your mind’s eye the musicians playing it live – even though it’s sampled and programmed,” Silverman explains. “It’s more of a reimagining of a tune I came across that had this vocal sample in it that I loved.”

At its heart, ‘Every Step’ is a meditation on closeness and devotion, carrying the easy-going spirit of a summer spent between Crete and the English rivers. Silverman describes the track as “pleasant floating vibes”, while its lyrics reflect the desire to keep someone special close through every twist and turn.

A Manchester native whose musical DNA was shaped by the city’s house scene, The Haçienda, The Stone Roses and The Smiths, Silverman brings decades of experience to his own creative output. As founder of Outpost Media and head of 3 Bar Fire Records, he has worked with influential labels including Warp, Def Jux, Sony and !K7, alongside artists such as Diplo, Mr Scruff, Nightmares On Wax and Skream.

Following previous single ‘Paint Me In Gold’, ‘Every Step’ marks another compelling chapter in Silver Man’s return to music-making, balancing nostalgic textures with contemporary electronic sensibilities.
