After more than five decades together, The Cure have reached another landmark moment in their storied career, winning their first-ever Grammy Awards at last night’s ceremony in Los Angeles.
The band picked up two awards, taking home Best Alternative Music Album for Songs of a Lost World and Best Alternative Music Performance for Alone. The wins mark the first Grammy recognition in The Cure’s 50-year history.
Songs of a Lost World is the band’s 14th studio album and their first release in 16 years. The album was also recognised closer to home, earning nominations for Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and Alternative/Rock Act at the 2025 BRIT Awards.
The Grammy wins come as The Cure prepare to headline Sky Presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2026, taking place from June 18–21. Their appearance will mark fans’ first opportunity to see the band perform live in the UK in 2026.
Remaining tickets for Sky Presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2026 are on sale now.
