Sam WOLFE Ignites a New Era with ‘Swipe Right’ and ‘The Party’

ree

Fresh off millions of streams and support from some of the biggest names in dance music, Sam WOLFE is stepping into a massive new chapter. His debut on Oliver Heldens’ Heldeep Records with ‘Swipe Right’ signals a bold evolution — a fierce fusion of peak-time techno and driving tech house that’s already been turning heads in his live sets. Add to that his explosive new release ‘The Party’ on HILOMATIK, and Sam is proving why he’s fast becoming one of techno’s most electrifying trailblazers.

‘Swipe Right’ marked your debut on Heldeep. What made this track the right moment — and the right label — for you to step into this new chapter?

It might have been very coincidental timing, but right when YES B!TCH came out, there was a big shift happening in the peak time techno sound we knew from 2020-2023. Meaning it became less big breakdown, and trancey, and more Tech Housey, groove focussed. Swipe Right was my next venture into that space with a vocal originally supplied by Matt Sassari - who is a hit maker. I then took the beat and gave it my signature aggression but with a nice driving groove on top. This is ther beginning of my sound continuously being refined.

And tell us about the new release on HILOMATIK – 'The Party'The Party is one of those tracks that ignites the energy in the club. I made this tune as a bootleg after hearing Rufus Du Sol drop it in their set. It kept hitting so well we were determined to clear the sample and give it a 2025 remake. Now finally it's out and ready to rip.

You’ve said the record blends your peak-time techno sound with some of your favourite tech house elements. What was the creative thought process behind combining those worlds?

As a DJ, you need to be able to read the crowd. As a producer, you need to be able to feel what sounds are becoming stale, and what sounds are feeling fresh. For specifically the peak time techno genre, I (and many others) had a gut feeling, this is what people want and perceive as fresh, because the other sounds I have just previously mentioned, were becoming a bit stale.

Your single ‘YES B!TCH’ has exploded past 7 million streams and become a dancefloor staple. How has the success of that track shifted your momentum or mindset going into new releases?

It really solidified what I always knew, but would not necessarily practice; and that is: Simple is better, and a big vocal will 9/10 outshine a purely instrumental track.

Your music is supported by huge names — from John Summit and Adam Beyer to Swedish House Mafia and Solomun. How has that level of endorsement influenced your growth or confidence as an artist?

That is a good question, because in the beginning I remember consistently struggling with the internal question "is this cool?" and I know many producers who have felt the same. When you begin to strike on a sound that get's big support, it helps ease that silent conversation you have inside your mind, and you can go back to trusting your gut, and enjoying the process.

You’ve become known for high-octane productions and genre-blurring energy. What can fans expect from you next as you continue carving out your place in the global techno scene?

I am going to keep being me, at my core, but like any artist & producer, I am going to keep striving to become better. Where that leads me, I do not know 100%, but I am committed to my community that follows my journey that I will always try to keep delivering a consistently better product, and always a top tier performance.
