Saint Ludo is back — and she’s coming in loud. The Italian-born, London-based DJ and producer returns with “808”, a heavy new collaboration with West London rapper, producer and artist Cap1talA.
Built for maximum impact, “808” throws together dubstep, grime and UK bass, with Saint Ludo’s club-ready production driven by pounding low end and restless percussion. Cap1talA cuts through with two gritty verses, giving the track a raw rap edge that hits just as hard as the beat.
The release follows Saint Ludo’s previous single “Subliminals” with MC Kasst 8, which picked up support from DJ Mag, Complex UK and BBC Radio 1. Fans may already recognise “808” from Ludo’s viral Boiler Room set in India, while the pair recently gave the track another live outing with a surprise performance at All Points East.
Speaking on the track, Ludo says: “This record is dedicated to all the lovers of the 808 — listen at your own risk.”
Saint Ludo has built a name on unpredictable, high-energy sets that pull from UKG, jungle, grime and hip-hop, while her independent label and party series Femme Culture continues to champion women and LGBTQ+ artists in electronic music.
Fresh from supporting Sammy Virji in North America and with more major festival dates ahead, “808” finds Saint Ludo exactly where she belongs.
