New Music Friday #40
For our 40th instalment of New Music Friday, we take you through the best electronic releases of this week - featuring tracks from Raph, Hermeth, Ayesha and more.
Ebb x Texture - CXT004
Ebb and Texture's latest venture as a pair comes in the form of CXT004, an EP featuring both solo and collaborative tracks. The release spans across four tracks of infectious dubstep, breaks and bass.
Raph - Get 'Em (Brick Sweat Records)
Leeds-based producer Raph impresses once again with his latest release Get 'Em, as part of the first Brick Sweat Records VA The Foundations. Premiering on Das Booty, Get 'Em showcases Raph's classic ghetto electro style with a thumping bassline and booty-bass vocals.
The Chronics - From The Start (Hermeth Remix)
Hermeth does it once again with his turbo-charged electro remix of The Chronics' From The Start, toying between hard-hitting breaks, a piercing bassline and ethereal vocals.
K-65 - Ghosts
Ghosts is the latest release from brand-new Leeds-based label TAIPAN TRAX, founded by Phasmid. K-65 treats us to a mind-blowing breakbeat number, with plenty of cascading synths and wobbling basslines.
Ayesha - We Be Bubblin'
Brooklyn-based DJ and producer Ayesha perfectly encapsulates the title of her latest track We Be Bubblin', as she experiments with sound design to produce an infectious bassy track for her latest EP with Scuffed Recordings.
Yosh - I Feel [Lobster Theremin
Yosh's I Feel is a bouncy, jungle-infused UKG number, released in anticipation of his upcoming EP My Fire.
