ISAK DANIELSON ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM ‘LOVE, ISAK’

The Swedish singer-songwriter turns heartbreak into his most personal statement yet, with new album arriving 22 January 2027 following a major surge for single ‘Goodbye To A Lover Again’.
Swedish singer-songwriter Isak Danielson is entering a new chapter. The Gothenburg-born artist has announced his new album, Love, Isak, arriving 22 January 2027, as recent single ‘Goodbye To A Lover Again’ continues to gather serious streaming momentum.
With almost two million total streams and 784,000 plays in the past seven days alone, ‘Goodbye To A Lover Again’ is enjoying a major surge six weeks after release — proof that Danielson’s emotionally direct songwriting continues to resonate with listeners around the world.
The track offers a candid take on modern gay dating culture, exploring the pursuit of validation, attention and sex, and the difficulty of building lasting connections in a world that can leave self-esteem battered. It also sets the tone for Love, Isak, a deeply introspective record centred on heartbreak, healing and the complicated business of learning to live without someone you once loved.
“This album is about learning to live again after heartbreak, without ever fully escaping the person you once loved,” Danielson explains. “I was going through every emotion possible, and I think that’s why I’m so proud of it.”
He adds: “I love music that makes you feel something, and I hope this album can do that. I hope you see yourself, connect with your own experiences, and let every emotion you feel be felt.”
Across his decade-long career, Danielson has built a devoted international audience through his soul-stirring vocals and unflinching approach to love, longing and regret. Breakthrough songs ‘Ending’ and ‘Broken’ helped establish his reputation for turning intensely personal experiences into widescreen emotional anthems, while his catalogue has now surpassed one billion streams, with more than 200 million career views on YouTube.
The announcement follows a landmark year for the artist, including a sold-out European tour and a run supporting Lewis Capaldi. Having released five independent albums and multiple EPs, Danielson is now preparing to deliver what could be his most defining release yet.
If ‘Goodbye To A Lover Again’ is anything to go by, Love, Isak won't offer easy answers to matters of the heart. Instead, it promises an honest look at the messy business of moving on — and the parts of the past that refuse to let go.
Love, Isak is out 22 January 2027.
