Manchester's Open-Air Club, The Progress Centre Announces Day-to-Night Festival

Manchester's newest open-air club, The Progress Centre, is set to host one of its most significant events to date on Saturday, July 8th. The day-to-night festival will be headlined by Berlin-based DJ duo, label owners, and renowned dance party starters, The Ghost.

With tickets starting at £15, the festivities will kick off at 2 pm and continue until 11 pm. The event will feature vintage clothing stalls courtesy of Gone Fishing Vintage and Me To A Tee, offering attendees a chance to find unique fashion pieces. The one-of-a-kind floating record shop, Rub a Ducky Records, will be present, distributing vinyl records. Myles, the committed crate digger and founder of Rub a Ducky Records, will be on land for the day, showcasing his collection of electronic music gems after his boat unfortunately sunk in April. Donations will also be raised to support his recovery.

In addition, Haunted Dancehall will provide a selection of dancefloor bangers for sale, featuring a mix of old, new, and reissued records. Local legends 20k and a Dead Sheep will offer their range of rare and specialist zines, books, and more. Street food vendors will also be on-site, ensuring attendees stay fueled throughout the day to maximize their energy levels.

Live art will be a highlight of the event, with celebrated local artists Caroline Dowsett, Madi Marcantonatos, and Grace Biddle leaving their mark by painting 'The Ghost' murals on canvases. Attendees are encouraged to participate and express their own artistic talents on a dedicated canvas following the theme.

The stellar music lineup has been exclusively curated by The Ghost, featuring a selection of their favorite underground selectors. Prepare for a nine-hour journey through house, tech-house, and techno, powered by the venue's specialist Funktion-One sound system. The day party will showcase The Ghost's refined collection, along with performances by Christian AB, Rinse FM residents Hamish & Toby, Berlin's Huerta B2B with Ghost Recs alumni DJ Pipe.

At 11 pm, the party will transition to The Loft, the Progress Centre's sister venue, and continue until the early hours of 4 am. The Ghost will treat guests to a second extended set, performing back-to-back with KRN. They will be joined by Tho + Loren, Kyle Toole b2b Ethan, and Dig This.

Tickets for the day party at The Progress Centre are now available for purchase on Skiddle, starting at £15. Tickets for the afterparty at The Loft will be released soon.

The Progress Centre recently relaunched, revealing its newly refurbished space and debuting its season of all-day parties, which will continue until September.
