Luminati Suns turn a viral moment into an official Marino collaboration

Luminati Suns have gone from putting their own spin on a viral track to officially teaming up with its creator.

The young alt-pop trio have joined forces with Marino for I’m Sorry Mom, after their version of the track exploded online, racking up more than 100 million views across social platforms in less than 72 hours.

What started as a cover quickly became something much bigger. Luminati Suns' take caught Marino's attention, leading to the brothers joining forces with him for an official version that blends their high-energy alt-pop style with his original vision.

For Luminati Suns — brothers Giorgio, Luigi and Romeo — the collaboration is a particularly full-circle moment.

“We just wanted to put our own spin on a song we genuinely love,” the band say, admitting they never imagined it would connect with so many people, let alone lead to an official collaboration with Marino.

The release arrives as the brothers continue to build a sizeable audience online and on the road. They first broke through with their cover of My Stupid Heart alongside Walk Off the Earth, which has also passed the 100 million-view mark.

Since then, Luminati Suns have taken their music across Canada, the US, Europe and China. They’re currently joining Walk Off the Earth on their 2026 World Tour, appearing on stage every night before heading to Europe for the tour's autumn leg.

For a band still early in its journey, I’m Sorry Mom is another serious marker of their momentum — and proof that a viral moment can sometimes turn into something much more substantial.

The trio clearly aren't slowing down anytime soon.
