K-TRAP LINKS UP WITH OXLADE FOR AFROBEATS-INFUSED NEW SINGLE “PRESSURE”

K-Trap is stepping into fresh territory, teaming up with Nigerian superstar Oxlade for “Pressure” — a feel-good, Afrobeats-infused rap anthem produced by MVLN.
The collaboration feels like a natural fit. K-Trap comes through with his trademark presence, while Oxlade supplies an infectious hook that adds a melodic new dimension to the South London rapper’s sound.
The track’s accompanying video, directed by Daps — whose credits include Wizkid, Kendrick Lamar and Stormzy — was filmed in Lagos and takes K-Trap somewhere fans rarely get to see him.
Set against the city’s vibrant backdrop, the visual moves between striking underwater sequences, beach scenes, celebration and romance, giving “Pressure” a bright, cinematic energy that matches the track’s summer-ready sound.
K-Trap says the collaboration came together almost effortlessly, explaining that after finishing his verse, he knew he needed a serious hook and immediately thought of Oxlade. After reaching out, he discovered the feeling was mutual — and the chemistry quickly followed.
“Pressure” arrives as anticipation builds for Trapo II, K-Trap’s upcoming project. Dropping 21 August, the album explores the duality between the mythology surrounding his masked persona and the man behind it — a theme reflected in its artwork, which depicts K-Trap both with and without the balaclava that became synonymous with his early rise.
And K-Trap’s momentum isn't limited to music. The rapper has recently expanded his profile through a new partnership with Reebok, joining the brand as an official European ambassador. The collaboration included a takeover of a pub and an appearance on Off Licence Sessions, where K-Trap performed tracks from the forthcoming album.
From his early drill records to UK Top 10 projects, MOBO wins, a BRIT nomination and a Platinum-certified “Warm”, K-Trap has continually pushed beyond the boundaries of the sound that first put him on the map.
Now, with “Pressure”, he’s adding a new international flavour to the formula — and proving that K-Trap sounds just as comfortable outside his usual territory.
