1.Their favourite bands they caught during the festival(TGEで発見した好きなバンド)
We had our own live shows over the course of two days, so we weren’t able to see many other performances, but CHLOE QISHA's show at PATTERNS DOWNSTAIRS on Thursday the 15th was truly impressive. Her star-quality appearance and performance really energized the venue. I felt that she is an artist who could have a significant market in Japan as well.
2.Any great food spots or venues they discovered in Brighton (ブライトンを訪れて食べ物や場所などお気に入りがあれば)
We stayed by a beautiful coastline and went for a run along the shore every morning. We also found a few favorite restaurants and cafés:PERMIT ROOM. Since arriving in the UK, I had English breakfast every morning, and this place served the most delicious one.WOLFOX The café’s interior design and the lifestyle goods they sold were both wonderful.Perhaps because a Japanese staff member works there, it had a tasteful fusion of Japanese style, making it a very stylish and well-curated spot.
3.How the IRORI showcase went down (ショーケースはどんな感じだったか)
The showcase live was incredibly exciting. The venue, CASABLANCA, was packed with people, and we were able to see that there are so many who are eager for music from Tokyo. All of the artists who performed are well-known enough in Japan to play in arenas and large concert halls, but they originally started out in small live houses and gradually built their audience through the power of their live performances.Because of that, even though this was their first time performing in a new place, they delivered outstanding shows, and I truly felt that the audience was just as excited.4.And a bit more about what drives the label and the artists they brought over (なぜ今回TGEにて今回のラインアップ今回のショーケースを開催する事になったかのイキサツを)
The reason we organized this showcase is that, while the Japanese music industry is currently coming together to promote J-POP culture to the world, the global perception still tends to be limited to anime-related or specific genres. The artists from IRORI Records possess incredible musical and live performance talent that can’t simply be categorized as J-POP.That’s why, rather than relying solely on the broader movements being driven by the Japanese music industry, we wanted people to experience their performances live and in person, right here on the ground.Through this, we hope that our music will gradually reach and resonate with people in the UK and across Europe.
