ELLiS·D Captures His Explosive Live Show On New Spill EP (Live)

Brighton art-punk force documents sold-out Rotterdam show as new live single 'Humdrum' lands today

Following a whirlwind year of relentless touring, Brighton's gothic art-punk firebrand ELLiS·D has announced Spill EP (Live), a blistering live recording captured before a sold-out crowd at Rotterdam's V11 and due for release on 4th September via Crafting Room Recordings and Left of The Dial.

Previewed today (6th August) by the ferocious live version of fan favourite 'Humdrum', the release finally bottles the sweat-soaked chaos that has turned ELLiS·D into one of the UK's most talked-about live performers.

Fresh from playing 170 shows in 2025—alongside his role as drummer for acclaimed outfit Fat Dog—ELLiS·D has built a formidable reputation for performances fuelled by stage dives, theatrical intensity and unrelenting energy. Described by Far Out as "the greatest live act on the modern circuit" and hailed by DORK as "one of 2026's most unpredictable thrills", Spill EP (Live) captures the project at its most visceral.

Recorded during the band's first sold-out headline show outside the UK in the basement of Rotterdam's iconic V11 venue, the seven-track EP revisits last year's acclaimed Spill release with a renewed urgency that showcases why ELLiS·D's reputation has spread so rapidly across Europe.

Speaking about the release, ELLiS·D says:

"As our first sold-out headline show outside of the UK, it felt like a real milestone for myself and the band. We wanted to capture the amazing connection we've felt playing to European audiences, with nowhere better to do it than the basement of a boat in Rotterdam.

Each of the tracks on the EP have been staples of our live set for a long time, but switching into the mindset of performing and recording for the EP gave us a fair few jitters pre-show. Once we crashed into 'Chasing The Blue' that all melted away."

The live EP caps a remarkable 18 months for Ellis Dickson's solo project. Since the original release of Spill, ELLiS·D has emerged as one of the UK's most exciting underground names, earning BBC 6 Music support from Steve Lamacq and Emily Pilbeam, Radio X championing from John Kennedy, Apple Music backing via Matt Wilkinson, and praise from DIY, Bandcamp, NME, So Young, Stereogum, Far Out and DORK.

Already a festival favourite thanks to appearances at The Great Escape, Haldern Pop, Best Kept Secret, Kendal Calling and Rockaway Beach, ELLiS·D's relentless touring schedule continues this autumn with appearances at Reeperbahn Festival, Brighton Psych Fest and his biggest London headline show to date at The Lexington.
