Concert Organiser's CEO Confident in Full Return to "Shows at Scale" Next Summer

Following a year of disappointment for both festival organisers and fans due to COVID-19 cancellations, the CEO of Concert Giant Live Nation has expressed confidence in a return to "shows at scale" next summer. Head of the company Micheal Rapino recently spoke to IQMag, anticipating that things will go ahead as normal with the necessary Coronavirus measures in place, such as frequent testing and venue sanitation.

Thanking the cooperation of ticket-buyers, Rapino said "“Our expectations for a robust outdoor summer season in 2021 are also reinforced by the two-thirds of fans keeping their tickets for cancelled festivals so they can go to next year’s show, along with strong early ticket sales for festivals in the UK next summer".

Although it will not be an easy road ahead for festival planning, he insisted the company will ensure they "maintain flexibility and focus on innovating” until everything is back to normal.
