Vincent’s Last Summer Demand Attention with Defiant New Single “Soapbox”

Manchester’s fast-rising indie-sleaze duo Vincent’s Last Summer return with “Soapbox”—a blistering new single that doesn’t just knock on the door, it kicks it off its hinges. Snarling guitars, pounding drums, and a healthy dose of modern irony collide to create a track that feels both nostalgic and undeniably of the moment.

Out now via APOLLO Distribution, “Soapbox” finds Vincent’s Last Summer stepping onto their figurative soapbox, delivering razor-sharp truths and biting social commentary with a wink. It’s unapologetic, anthemic, and brimming with chaotic energy—the sound of a band fully leaning into their punk swagger and indie-disco chaos.

Fresh from tearing up festival stages at The Great Escape, Truck Festival, and a headline at The George Tavern, plus recent supports for Courting and Chloe Slater, VLS have already carved out a reputation as one of the UK’s most electrifying live acts. Their shows—a mix of sweat-soaked dance-punk and tongue-in-cheek humour—have earned them praise from Dork, Clash, So Young, and DIY, with comparisons to Viagra Boys and nods to the best of the 2000s indie revival.

“Vincent’s Last Summer are proving that their fire isn’t going out anytime soon,” said Dork. “One of the new acts we’re the most excited about right now.”

With their debut EP set for release next year and Spotify playlist love already stacking up, “Soapbox” is another confident step forward from a band who are shaping the sound—and the party soundtrack—of the indie-sleaze revival.
