Tune Of The Day: Spiral By Pacific
The band championed by Manchester United are quickly turning the heads of some of the biggest names in the business, and their next release is no exception. Piano-infused rockers Pacific are set to drop a brand-new single on the 11th June, as they continue their onslaught of music with yet another huge statement of intent.
‘Spiral’ encapsulates the band’s sound, straight from the heart song writing that is delivered with grit and emotion. Delving deep into slick pop with the foundations of energetic indie, Pacific are quickly mastering their craft and creating an inimitable sound. Both dramatic and downright catchy, the four-piece are riding the wave of their 2021 singles ‘Puzzle’ and Alibi’ with another arena-sized anthem.
On ‘Spiral,’ they added: “When we were writing this song, we wanted to capture how in life, days can unknowingly pass with all your time being spent working towards an end-game of someone else’s making. Importantly, we remember we have the ability to control our own futures and that’s what the song is about - overcoming that spiral that we can easily fall into.”
Few can lay claim to achieving so many accolades in such a small space of time, but in 2021 alone, Pacific have gained Apple Music’s backing, playlisted in their Breaking Rock and New In Rock editorials, as well as from their hometown club Manchester United, who are using the band’s songs in online video content and stadium pre-match playlists. Huge radio support has also come from Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing Manchester, Merseyside and many more. Plus, Huw Stephens has given them a spin and XS Manchester had them as their ‘Record of the Week’.
