Kiosk Return With Darkwave-Infused New Single ‘Baby Teeth’

Leeds electronic duo Kiosk are back with ‘Baby Teeth’, a shadowy, darkwave-tinged new single out now via Private Regcords. The track arrives ahead of the pair’s upcoming UK dates supporting Adult DVD and Formal Sppeedwear.
Self-described ‘Leedstronica’, Bella Alcock and Rory ‘Maz’ Maslen continue to push their collision of electronoise, acid-house, techno and darkwave into more gothic territory. Built around chuntering basslines, aloof vocals and squelching glitchtronics, ‘Baby Teeth’ finds the duo exploring the messier edges of their sound.
Continuing their collaboration with Berlin and Leeds-based DJ and producer DJ Subaru, the track pairs restless electronic textures with a more personal lyrical thread. As Alcock explains, it reflects on growing up, leaving things behind and losing touch with an old friend, while giving the duo room to experiment with new equipment.
It follows February’s double A-side ‘Heaven Sent/Sure Shot’ and its accompanying remix EP, building on a busy year that has seen Kiosk reach the Green Man Rising final, play to a packed festival crowd and share stages with the likes of Machine Girl, Paranoid London and Mermaid Chunky. Their growing profile has also earned support from BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X and publications including So Young, The Line of Best Fit and Far Out.
With ‘Baby Teeth’ pushing their sound further into nocturnal territory, Kiosk are taking the new material on the road this week, with dates across Nottingham, Newcastle, Glasgow, Oxford, London and Leeds.
