LA-based singer-songwriter Ellie Williams returns with ‘Jealous’, a dreamy R&B/pop cut that flips romantic envy on its head. Out now via APOLLO Distribution, the new single finds Williams taking an unexpectedly sympathetic approach to the woman who wants the love she has.

Built around delicate guitar, shimmering synths and angelic vocals, ‘Jealous’ drifts between celestial pop and intimate confession. Beneath its soft, almost heavenly production, however, lies a more complicated story of insecurity and self-reassurance.

“I wrote Jealous about not being jealous when I was, in fact, jealous,” Williams explains. “In theory, it’s a song about being secure in your relationship and not being phased when people flirt with your partner in front of you. In reality, it’s an elaborate illustration of my own insecurities.”

The track follows ‘When You Coming Over’, the first taste of her forthcoming sophomore album Embers, due January 2027. Where that single captured the excitement of a relationship beginning, ‘Jealous’ explores the doubts that can surface as it develops.

Known for her introspective songwriting and atmospheric sound, Williams draws on themes of queer identity, personal growth and self-reflection. With over 15 million streams across her releases, she continues to carve out space for honest, emotionally layered storytelling within modern pop.

‘Jealous’ is out now via APOLLO Distribution. Listen here.
