FISHER Teams Up With LAUREL on Euphoric New Single ‘Staring At The Sun’

FISHER has joined forces with British singer-songwriter and producer LAUREL for ‘Staring At The Sun’, a piano-driven, vocal-led anthem set to land on October 16 via Catch & Release.

One of the most in-demand IDs from FISHER’s sets this year, the track has soundtracked his global festival run, with appearances at EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Europe, Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Creamfields and London’s Silverworks Island. Built around infectious hooks and soaring piano lines, it brings together FISHER’s high-impact club sound with LAUREL’s cinematic vocals and emotionally charged songwriting.

The track’s central theme draws on the Greek myth of Icarus, exploring the dangerous pull of an irresistible love. “To me, the song is about meeting someone who feels like your version of the sun,” LAUREL explains, describing the tension between being unable to live with someone and being unable to live without them.

The release arrives during a huge year for FISHER, whose recent singles ‘Rain’, ‘Favour’ featuring Tones And I, and ‘What A Life’ with Florence Arman have all made an impact on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. His summer also included a second Ibiza residency at [UNVRS], where ‘Staring At The Sun’ became a regular highlight across 15 Thursday nights.

For LAUREL, the collaboration adds to a catalogue that has amassed more than 340 million streams, following releases including her acclaimed albums DOGVIOLET and PALPITATIONS. She is also preparing to release her third album, CRYING ON THE TENNIS COURT, on January 22, 2027.

After months of fan anticipation, ‘Staring At The Sun’ brings big-room energy and alternative-pop sensibility together in a track built for festival crowds and late-night dancefloors alike.

‘Staring At The Sun’ is out October 16 via Catch & Release.
