Katie Rigby Unveils Heartfelt New Single ‘Too Good To Last’

Rising Manchester country artist Katie Rigby returns with a beautifully understated new single, ‘Too Good To Last’, a tender release that places her striking vocal performance firmly at the centre of the spotlight.

Out now via APOLLO Distribution, the track blends folk, country and subtle pop influences into a stripped-back arrangement built around gentle acoustic guitar. Rather than leaning on heavy production, ‘Too Good To Last’ unfolds gradually, allowing Rigby’s voice and storytelling to carry the emotional weight of the song.

The release continues Rigby’s upward momentum following a breakthrough year that saw her named Horizon Artist of the Year at the 2024 British Country Music Association Awards — a recognition that highlighted her growing presence within the UK’s contemporary country scene.

Rigby’s rise has been marked by a string of milestones. Her single ‘past life cowgirl’ has surpassed 100,000 global streams, while recent performances have taken her from major UK festivals such as C2C (Country to Country) and The Long Road to songwriting sessions in Nashville, including a coveted appearance at the iconic Bluebird Cafe. She has also toured across Denmark, Germany and Switzerland, further expanding her international audience.

Fans will soon have the chance to hear the new material live when Rigby plays her biggest headline show to date at Manchester’s Deaf Institute on May 1st, performing with a full band in what promises to be a landmark hometown performance.

With thoughtful lyricism and warm, melodic songwriting often likened to Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour meeting Taylor Swift’s Evermore, Rigby is continuing to carve out a fresh and authentic voice within the UK country landscape. ‘Too Good To Last’ offers another glimpse of an artist whose star is steadily rising.
