salute’s ‘lip service’ brings 90s house energy ahead of infinite passion

Manchester DJ and producer salute is turning up the heat with ‘lip service’, a bass-heavy, 90s house-inspired cut that offers another taste of their forthcoming mixtape infinite passion, due next month via Atlantic Records.

Released today, 16 October, the track follows previous singles ‘check check’ and ‘soul reply’, a collaboration with Italian house heavyweight Riva Starr. Warped vocal hooks, warm chord stabs and a driving groove give ‘lip service’ its nostalgic edge, balancing peak-time dancefloor energy with the euphoric rush of summer’s final nights.

It’s been a big year for salute, with sets at All Points East, Japan’s Fuji Rock, Ibiza’s UNVRS, Beat-Herder and Berlin’s ELSE. They also recently put their spin on Madonna’s ‘Love Sensation’ for the Confessions II: Afterhours remix project, joining Peggy Gou and Floorplan on the release.

Infinite passion marks salute’s first long-form project since their 2024 debut album TRUE MAGIC, which reached No. 5 on the UK Dance Chart. Fuelled by years of touring, record digging and club experimentation, the new mixtape brings that experience back into the studio, combining exclusive productions and deeper cuts with music shaped on the dancefloor.

That club-first approach extends to salute’s own party series, which has sold out in Los Angeles, Manchester and New York. Built around a hidden DJ booth and a strict no-phones policy, the events prioritise immersion and collective energy, with HAAi, AceMo, Nikki Nair, Call Super, Kyle Hall and Bambounou among the names to have played. Following a takeover at Lost Village, the series heads to ADE 2026 with Diffrent and Bella Claxton.

With infinite passion landing next month, ‘lip service’ makes a strong case for salute’s next chapter: soulful, high-octane dance music made to hit hardest in a room full of people.
