In November 2017, Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate found themselves thrust into the spotlight when they stepped in at the last minute to replace an injured band on the main stage at Hard Rock Hell's Prog Festival, a prominent indoor progressive rock event. Opening for renowned acts such as Magnum, Focus, and Carl Palmer, the band mesmerized over 1000 people and left a lasting impression. Hard Rock Hell magazine hailed them as "unlikely stars who stole the show," while eFestivals declared them the "highlight of the festival."

The duo behind Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate consists of Malcolm Galloway, a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, and Mark Gatland, handling bass, Chapman stick, backing vocals, additional guitar, keyboards, and co-production duties. Occasionally, they collaborate with Kathryn Thomas, a talented flutist and backing vocalist. Notably, Malcolm also pursues a career as a contemporary classical/minimalist composer, adding further depth to their artistic repertoire. Interestingly, Malcolm is a former neuropathologist and medical school teacher, showcasing the band's diverse backgrounds and passions.

Their versatility and unique sound have established them as a band unafraid to experiment and push boundaries.

Today, the band has released their latest offering, 'Burn The World,' on Spotify.
