Sebastian Rydgren Explores the Pain of Fleeting Love on New Single ‘momentary’

Swedish rising star Sebastian Rydgren is back with ‘momentary’, an emotive new single exploring the heartbreak of wanting forever with someone who only wants temporary.

Out now via APOLLO Distribution, the track pairs shimmering, reverberant guitar with delicate vocals and understated production, creating an intimate soundscape that captures the tension between desire, hope and the painful realisation that two people aren’t looking for the same thing.

Opening with a recurring guitar riff and distant, pleading echoes, ‘momentary’ gradually draws listeners into the emotional limbo of holding on when it’s time to let go. Rydgren’s expressive vocals take centre stage, shifting between vulnerability and quiet desperation as he confronts the reality of a connection that can never become what he wants it to be.

The single marks the second release from his forthcoming EP, Contemporary Pt. 2, with two more tracks still to come.

Rydgren first caught national attention on Swedish Idol in 2022, finishing fourth and winning over audiences with his emotive delivery and magnetic stage presence. His talent also attracted the attention of acclaimed producer and songwriter Anders Bagge, known for his work with Madonna, Celine Dion and Robyn.

Following Midnight Confessions Pt. 1, the latest release signals another step forward for an artist carving out his place in modern pop, blending heartfelt storytelling with a contemporary sound.
