JGrrey Unveils Vulnerable Debut Album ‘you, me and jen’

South London singer-songwriter JGrrey has released her highly anticipated 13-track debut album, you, me and jen, bringing together neo-soul, jazz, R&B and hip-hop across her most personal body of work to date.

Featuring M Huncho, Erick The Architect, Kofi Stone and Bel Cobain, the album dives into identity, family, relationships and belonging, embracing the messy contradictions that come with figuring out who you are.

Lead single ‘Deh Pon’ draws directly from JGrrey’s Jamaican heritage, weaving island-inspired language, rhythm and energy into her genre-blurring sound. It joins previously released tracks ‘Believe’, ‘Take My Hand’, ‘Pedigree’ and ‘Bedbug’ in setting the tone for a project that refuses to shy away from uncomfortable truths.

At its heart, you, me and jen is about connection: the different versions of ourselves we become throughout life, the struggles we carry, and the relief of recognising our own experiences in someone else’s story. JGrrey lays it all bare — the good, the bad and everything in between — inviting listeners to find a piece of themselves in the process.

Since emerging in the late 2010s, JGrrey has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most compelling alternative voices. Her acclaimed COLORS performance of ‘Don’t Fade’ showcased her ability to turn vulnerability into something cinematic, while her debut mixtape If Not Now? has surpassed 60 million streams and earned an AIM Award nomination.

With collaborations spanning Baxter Dury, Conducta and Kojey Radical, a tour supporting Billie Eilish, and performances at Cross The Tracks, We Out Here and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, JGrrey has steadily carved out her own lane.

Now, with you, me and jen, she steps into a new chapter — one defined by radical honesty, genre-fluid production and the courage to embrace every side of herself.
