Record Of The Week: Silvestre - It's 2024!!

Silvestre is back, this time on Studio Barnhus. One of the best-known names to emerge from Portugals electronic scene in recent years, he’s become a key figure in the progression of hybrid sounds emerging from Lisbon and has released music on the likes of Diskotopia, Meda Fury and Secretsundaze. He also runs Padre Himalaya, a record label upon which he himself has appeared alongside friends and producers from further afield. Bruxas, our favourite track samples It's A Blue World By The Four Freshman, a sample that's also been championed by the likes of Jamie XX.

It's 2024!! is Silvestres first EP for Studio Barnhus, a six-track extravaganza ranging from coke-fueled funk to some heartfelt guitar ballad business. Radical, enlightened, super fun sounds from this self-proclaimed "big fan of music".

Out now on all digital platforms and limited 12" vinyl. Studio Barnhus continue to build on their burgeoning reputation as a label who have a tireless appetite for championing a multitude of genres and artists.
