Happy Friday! This week we're celebrating the never-ending talent that oozes out of Leeds, featuring LS6's most exciting takes on electro, UKG, breaks and more.

Yusuf Yellow & BNMO - 'Grey Clouds' [Readymeal Sound]

The Readymeal boys are on a roll, collaborating once again with rapper-slash-poet Yusuf Yellow on dreamy number Grey Clouds. Released soon after their colourful, UKG-fuelled single IRS, this track considerably lowers the temperature, infusing the relaxing melodies of Yusuf with BNMO's usual in suave, sax-filled beats.

TROPHY - You Can [The Footwork Jungle]

TROPHY is a Leeds-based producer, DJ and visual artist, releasing his 4-piece EP Liminal Space on Trax Heaven this week. The first track entitled You Can, premiered by The Footwork Jungle, is one of the most technically interesting and sonically unique tracks of the past few months. Mixing up the beat with half times, gritty basslines and reincarnating female vocals, TROPHY has created something super exciting here. The rest of the EP keeps the momentum going too, delving into all sorts of drums, jungle and footwork-infused melodies.

Alfredo Romero - 'Suzie' [Dansu Discs]

Alfredo Romero's track Suzie adds another piece to the puzzle for Dansu Disc's Dansu For Mental Health Vol. 2 [DSD022] compilation. This VA is aimed at raising awareness of mental health, and the importance of looking after those around you - which seems more relevant than ever in times like this. All profits will be split between The Mental Health Foundation and Samaritans⁣, so get involved if you can!

Tortuga - 'Lie Dectector'

Leeds-based DJ and producer Tortuga returns to the scene with his trap-infused, electro-charged track Lie Detector. Head over to his Bandcamp today to purchase, alongside the release of other tunes he's made this year!

NICE1TOM - 'Freq!'

This huge electro number is the debut of Leeds-based producer NICE1TOM. As a resident of both Leeds Student Radio and Slosh Collective, NICE1TOM has been anticipating this release for a while, and it sure is one not to skip. Head over to his Soundcloud to hear it!

Breaka - 'Breaka gets locked down & locked in once again on Reprezent' [Mix]

With links to both London and Leeds, Breaka has been a name on the rise for some time now. This week he returned to Reprezent Radio for his biweekly show, running through the tracks that are currently catching his eye. Look out for some serious heaters from Leeds' regulars Dubrunner, Interplanetary Criminal and Adam Pits.
