Bath dream-pop outfit Night Swimming have announced their signing to Venn Records and unveiled their new single ‘Submarine’, out now. Produced by Peter Miles (TORRES, Orla Gartland) and mastered by Simon Scott of Slowdive, the track arrives ahead of the band’s UK headline tour this month, followed by select support dates with Miki Berenyi of Lush.
‘Submarine’ unfolds like a cinematic dive into memory and emotion, with layered guitars, hypnotic rhythms, and Meg Jones’ ethereal vocals navigating the space between reality and submerged grief. As Jones explains, “The song likens loss to feeling as though you’re submerged at the bottom of the ocean… waves of emotion are always waiting when you least expect them.”
Since their 2024 debut EP No Place To Land, Night Swimming have earned acclaim from CLASH, DIY, Notion, The Line of Best Fit, and regular airplay on BBC 6 Music and Radio X, establishing themselves as one of the UK’s most compelling new dream-pop and shoegaze acts.
With a sound inspired by Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Radiohead, and contemporary touchpoints like Wolf Alice and Daughter, the five-piece continue to create immersive, textured music that blends emotional honesty with cinematic atmospheres.
