As we creep closer to the long-awaited return of clubs, this week's New Music Friday rounds up the tracks we cannot wait to hear when the day of freedom finally comes. Check out the freshest tunes for your weekend down below.

Adam Pits - Foliage

Foliage is one of the latest tracks released from Adam Pits debut album A Recurring Nature, as released by Leeds-based label On Rotation. This track is the second of the LP, once again proving Adam's unique and effortless ability to bend the use of percussion, synths and melodies into a truly euphoric piece. A Recurring Nature emulates his experiences over the past year, drawing influence from summer days in nature and as such creating an exciting new direction to his music.

As described by Adam: “2020 became a year of turning misfortunes into new opportunities. The feelings of clubbing neglect and social deprivation were prominent and as a result I found myself locked away in the studio with nothing better to do than to write the music that I wished I was hearing on a large sound system in a room full of sweaty rave-goers. I was lucky enough to be surrounded by friends who were able to drag me out of the studio and get outside for some real TLC from nature. After copious amounts of elderflower picking and mushroom foraging I found myself at peace with the idea that maybe the studio wasn't my only safe place. This ended up being the catalyst for many of the ideas in the album, and in turn, helped me realise the similarities between the beauty of repetition in both music and nature.

A Recurring Nature has come out as a genuine representation of where I’m at in my musical journey. Whilst seeking to express the aspects of music that most resonated with me, I wanted to also test myself against the elements where I felt least comfortable.”

Garneau - Feelin'

Garneau returns with Feelin', a bouncy Footwork track that is now available for free download.

Phasmid - Italy

Our very own Phasmid combines the sounds of UKG, breaks and grime for his tasty new release Italy. Premiering on Gimme a Break Records, this tune is also available as a free download, so grab it now to level-up your weekend playlist.

STHL - Untitled 2

Fusing jungle, experimental and ambient comes this delightful number from STHL. Untitled 2 layers resounding synths against industrial breaks for a rather outstanding track, now out on free download.

Miss Behave - BASS WATER FREAK OUT

From Sydney-based DJ Miss Behave comes her latest mix, streamed live from Orbital Radio. Expect an hour of all things electro and booty, featuring tracks from Cyan85, Moodrich and DJ Pina.

Blank Guest mix S5 EP 06

Our final favourite release for this week is another mix from Poland-based Blank, released on Crazed Behaviour. Blank digs deep into new and old electro, teasing us with the sounds of the club expected in the months to come.
