Berlin-based artist MIN-t is back with new single “Hope”, marking the first release from her forthcoming album Before The After, due May 8. Self-released via Martyna Kubicz Music, the track sees the Polish-born, multi-disciplinary artist continue to refine her hybrid sound — one that pulls from electronic, pop and R&B while resisting easy categorisation. Built around a ferocious breakbeat, “Hope” layers glitch-heavy synths, weighty low-end and shifting vocal delivery, moving between melodic passages and more direct, rhythmic phrasing.
Lyrically, the track takes a more grounded view of its title than the name might suggest. Rather than offering resolution, “Hope” frames optimism as something earned — shaped by frustration, loss and persistence rather than surface-level reassurance. It’s a theme that aligns closely with MIN-t’s wider output, which often leans into discomfort and emotional tension.
The release continues a steady upward trajectory for the artist, who has built a strong live reputation across Europe. With over 300 performances to date, she has appeared at major festivals including Reeperbahn, Open’er and Orange Warsaw, and has supported artists such as HVOB, Angel Haze, Jess Glynne and Vitalic. More recently, she completed a European tour alongside Saya Noé and OIEE.
Behind the project is Martyna Kubicz, a Berklee-trained composer, producer and mix engineer, and former mentee of renowned engineer Susan Rogers. Her background — spanning classical training, electronic production and performance — feeds directly into the scope of the MIN-t project, which prioritises texture, intensity and control.
With Before The After set for release in May, “Hope” positions the next phase clearly: more direct, more confrontational, and still firmly outside of genre lines.
