London DJ and producer Kiimi has shared their new two-track EP Lose My Mind, marking a debut release on HE.SHE.THEY. Records and continuing what is quickly becoming a breakthrough year for one of UK club music's most exciting new voices.
The EP pairs last month's collaboration with I. JORDAN, the euphoric title track 'Lose My Mind', with brand-new single 'Taste', alongside two club-focused edits that further showcase Kiimi's knack for crafting emotionally charged dance music.
Opening the record is 'Taste', a warm, rolling house cut co-produced with Berlin-based producer Spray. Built around deep basslines, shuffling percussion and understated vocals, the track captures the intoxicating feeling of falling headfirst into infatuation while never losing sight of the dancefloor. It's already picked up support from some of electronic music's biggest names, including Peggy Gou, Jamie Jones, TSHA, Solomun, Calvin Harris, Roger Sanchez and DJ BORING.
Speaking about the track, Kiimi says: "'Taste' came together during a session with Spray, whose music has been a huge inspiration to me over the past couple of years. The original demo was much more trance-leaning, but after reworking it I fell in love with its simplicity. Lyrically, it's about the sheer bliss of being in a state of limerence."
The EP's title track, created alongside I. JORDAN, channels the euphoric energy of Ibiza through soaring vocals, shimmering synths and classic house influences. Designed for those moments when the dancefloor becomes an escape, 'Lose My Mind' captures the freedom of completely losing yourself in the music.
The release follows a string of career-defining moments for Kiimi. Alongside launching the Club Hunni Academy earlier this year, they've continued to build a reputation as one of the UK's most compelling new electronic artists, following acclaimed releases including 'do u feel it?', high-profile remix work and a standout appearance at Field Day.
That momentum has been reflected across the wider scene. Kiimi was previously nominated for Beatport's Best New DJ, appeared on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists programme, spoke on panels at IMS Ibiza and Toolroom Academy, and has performed everywhere from DC-10 Ibiza and Ministry of Sound to BBC Radio 1 Dance Weekend. Their productions have also earned support from Jamie xx, HAAi, TSHA, Mano Le Tough and The Blessed Madonna, while tastemakers including Mixmag, DJ Mag and Rinse FM have all highlighted Kiimi as an artist firmly on the rise.
Blending the instincts of a classically trained musician with an ear for forward-thinking club music, Lose My Mind feels like another confident step forward. Personal without losing its dancefloor focus, the EP underlines why Kiimi is rapidly becoming one of the most exciting names to emerge from the UK's electronic underground.
Kiimi's Lose My Mind EP is out now via HE.SHE.THEY. Records.
