Lucky Iris return today with “heart 4 heart”, a sharp, shimmering burst of electro-pop that pushes their reputation for emotionally intelligent club music into thrilling new territory. It’s the latest offering from their upcoming mixtape fall in love with the dj, arriving 23rd January via EMI North’s Launchpad+.
The track lands as the Leeds duo continue their first UK tour with Master Peace, including sold-out dates across Nottingham and Southampton — a testament to their rapidly expanding fanbase and reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting alternative pop acts.
On “heart 4 heart”, songwriter-producer pairing Maeve and Jasper trade in pure emotional voltage. Built on Lucky Iris’ signature cocktail of warped synths, hyper-clean production and diaristic honesty, the song captures the dizzy, dangerous rush of falling fearlessly in love.
“‘heart for heart’ is a simple trade — a heart for a heart,” says Maeve. “It’s exposing to give someone everything, but vulnerability is one of my strongest qualities. People say I fall in love too hard — my response is, try falling at all.”
Lucky Iris have spent 2025 in total ascension, earning praise from Rolling Stone UK, NME, DIY, Clash, Wonderland, BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music, while sharing stages with LYNKS, Dorian Electra, Kai Bosch, Hannah Diamond, Bimini and more. They also secured a coveted spot at SXSW London.
Their forthcoming mixtape — created with acclaimed collaborators Richard Wilkinson (Adele, Kaiser Chiefs, Bombay Bicycle Club) and Latin Grammy-nominated Felipe Arevalo — sees the duo turning pop inside out. Hyperpop bite, dance-floor euphoria, crunchy textures and pure emotional release: fall in love with the dj is set to cement Lucky Iris as leaders of a thrilling new wave of experimental pop.
Lucky Iris continue their UK tour with Master Peace throughout November, with upcoming stops in Norwich, Cardiff and Margate.A heart for a heart. A beat for a beat. And Lucky Iris? They’re just getting started.
