Rising alt-pop artist Hannah Grae has released her new single “Bitch,” marking her first independent release. The track, co-written with Hunter West and produced by Dylan Bauld, blends ’90s-leaning attitude with a dreamy indie edge.
“Bitch” signals a new era for the Port Talbot-born 23-year-old, diving into themes of jealousy and self-comparison while showcasing her sharp lyricism, bold vocals and signature snarl. “Writing ‘Bitch’ felt like the start of something new for me… It’s a song about jealousy and the way I compare myself to people around me,” Grae says. “This song unlocked a version of me that finally feels like myself.”
Grae has quickly risen as a standout name in the alternative scene, earning praise from titles including Clash, NME, Rolling Stone, Kerrang!, and DIY. The new track continues her momentum following a breakthrough 2024, which included the release of her EP Nothing Lasts Forever and a run of major festival appearances across the UK and Europe.
Known for her self-taught musicianship and viral online presence, Grae has grown a large following through her song rewrites and covers, amassing more than 340k TikTok followers. Her sound pulls from influences such as Alanis Morissette, Green Day, Gwen Stefani and The Cardigans, placing her firmly among alt-pop’s new wave of genre-blending artists.
“Bitch” is out now on all major platforms.
