Bandcamp Picks: Yosh

It's that time of the week once again, and with this edition of Bandcamp Picks, we're very excited to invite Yosh onto the series. Yosh has been making some serious waves over recent months, with a string of outrageous releases on Shall Not Fade, VIVID, Dr Banana, Dansu Discs and more. Yosh's production style is sleek and and impactful, fusing UKG and breaks to craft a distinct, stand out style. We asked Yosh to recommend some of his favourite Bandcamp releases this week, and he hasn't disappointed.

Kahn- Dixia Sirong [Carac Records]

Absolute roller- bass heavy, floaty pads, acid stabs and break that sits nicely in the background, right up my street.

Bit Darker - Pinder [Instinct]

One of my favourite producers at the moment. The feel of this track takes me back to my nights out at FWD London. Nice balance of dubbed out goodness and 2 Step UKG, and the flip is nice and bumpy with a dash of that soul 2 soul vox.

Unified Diversity EP - Various Artists [Kommuna]

Definitely feeling this EP, and I’m constantly playing two tracks off it - (Ravestasy) is an absolute banger with retro breaks business and rolling bass, followed by those acid licks and retro melody that sows this track together nicely.

Crump - Division One has a nice level of dubbed out rawness and skippy 2 step drums that go down a treat.

Listen here. NSR 005 - Various Artists [NorthSouth Records]

Massive fan of the NorthSouth collective, so would be rude not to put this is the list! Great EP, and all tracks are fire, especially Chris Geschwinder’s Dales’s Lullaby- pure flames.

Listen here.

Call Me Back - Sauna [Get In Touch]

The groove on this is ridiculous, love the call and response with the chord stabs in (Sauna - Call Me Back)- nice little purchase to sneak into a set.
