unpeople return with new single “clouds”

unpeople are back with new single “clouds”, out now via SharpTone Records. The track leans into the band’s mix of heavy riffs and melodic hooks, pairing breakdowns with singalong moments. Lyrically, it centres on rejecting outside pressure and sticking to your own direction.

Frontman Jake Crawford says the song reflects the band’s early experience: “It’s about not letting yourself be influenced by what other people think you should be doing… and trusting your own vision and process.”

Made up of Crawford, Luke Caley, Em Lodge and Richard Rayner, the four-piece have quickly built momentum off the back of early releases including “the garden” and “waste”, as well as support slots with Metallica and Coheed & Cambria.

Alongside the new single, unpeople have confirmed a busy run of summer festival appearances. They’re set to open the main stage at Download Festival, with further slots at Slam Dunk, Hurricane, Southside, Radar and more.
