Rivkah Reyes Announces Debut EP Fan Favorite and Unleashes New Single “Menace”

From School of Rock bassist to bubblegrunge frontwoman, Rivkah Reyes is stepping into the spotlight with her debut EP, Fan Favorite.

The New York-based musician and actor will release the six-track project on November 6, alongside the chaotic new single “Menace” — a crunchy, bratty blast of indie rock that finds Reyes leaning into the mess.

Produced by Constantine Anastasakis, Fan Favorite sees Reyes bringing together emo-pop hooks, fuzzed-out guitars and sharp, confessional songwriting. Inspired by everyone from Paramore and Hole to No Doubt, the project sits somewhere between bubblegrunge, emo pop and what Reyes herself calls “lesbian rock.”

New single “Menace” is perhaps the clearest snapshot yet of that world: loud, reckless and knowingly chaotic, with massive guitars and a sharp sense of humour running through the mayhem.

Fan Favorite follows recent singles including “Miss Congeniality” and “Debt Collector”, with Reyes building a sound that feels theatrical, vulnerable and gloriously unpolished.

For many, Reyes will always be remembered as Katie — the bassist in the beloved School of Rock. But on Fan Favorite, she’s firmly front and centre, turning almost-relationships, bad decisions and the pressure to be liked into something loud enough to shout along to.

Rivkah Reyes’ debut EP Fan Favorite lands November 6. “Menace” is out now.
