Moses Yoofee Vester Blurs the Lines Between Jazz, R&B and Electronics on New EP Green Eyes

The Berlin-born musician, producer and composer returns to Casa Voyager with five tracks that fuse jazz improvisation, atmospheric electronics and contemporary R&B into one fluid, genre-defying statement.

Moses Yoofee Vester is back with Green Eyes, a five-track EP out now via Casa Voyager that pushes the boundaries between jazz, electronic music and R&B. Following his previous release on the label, Lost Papers, the new project finds the Berlin-born artist continuing to shape a sound driven by improvisation, adventurous production and a restless approach to rhythm and texture.

Across Green Eyes, Yoofee moves effortlessly between warmth and experimentation. The title track opens with shimmering percussion and delicate strings before R&B vocals bring an intimate edge, while ‘I Can See It From Here’ ventures into darker territory, pairing warped synths and sharp percussion with an increasingly tense atmosphere. Elsewhere, ‘So Much’ centres on a drum-led groove and swirling electronics, before ‘After All This’ brings jazz melodies and electronic textures into closer conversation. Closing track ‘In My Heart’ drifts into more introspective territory, layering distant vocals and warped keys over a bassline that steadily builds.

Rather than treating jazz and electronic production as separate worlds, Yoofee allows them to feed into one another, using the spontaneity of improvisation alongside carefully shaped contemporary sound design. The result is a cohesive yet exploratory release that prioritises movement, atmosphere and feeling over conventional genre boundaries.

His musical journey spans formal jazz studies at Jazzinstitut Berlin, international masterclasses and an increasingly diverse catalogue of collaborations. Beyond his solo work, Yoofee has worked with artists including Daniel Caesar, Wesley Joseph, Fred again.., OG Keemo and Marteria, as well as serving as pianist and musical director for Peter Fox. Since 2022, he has also performed as part of the Moses Yoofee Trio, taking its sound to major stages and festivals including Blue Note New York, Newport Jazz Festival and Montreux Jazz Festival.

With Green Eyes, Yoofee continues to explore what happens when jazz’s fluidity meets the possibilities of modern production. Across five tracks, he delivers a richly textured project that feels equally at home in an intimate listening session and a late-night electronic set.
