Speaking about the single, Wolf says: "I wrote 'Twiggy' about people I've been with that lack both butts and emotional availability. And how I like that. Or maybe it's just about the messiness of addiction? Idk, you decide :)."

Written after stepping away from years of near-constant touring, "Twiggy" emerged during a songwriting retreat in Big Bear, where Wolf embraced a more honest and emotionally exposed approach to her music.
