This week we are treated to a Leeds-heavy round-up of tracks for New Music Friday, featuring some excellent new releases and mixes to see in the weekend.

Tapas Wax - DISH001 Clips

Tapas Wax debut their first vinyl release this week, with Soundboy Cookie, DnR Vinyl and Alfredo Romero. Featuring three, juicy UKG numbers, this fresh and funky sounding EP is not one to miss.

Phoebe Brightmore - Guest Mix [Meanwood Radio]

Leeds-based artist Phoebe Brightmore made her debut on Meanwood Radio last weekend, with a hour-long getaway of gospel, soul-jazz and love songs. It's a warm, beautiful selection of tracks that will be sure to brighten up your Sunday morning.

Bakey & Donsurf - ec2a-019

Rising star Bakey is back for again this week, collaborating with Donsurf on a two-part release for ec2a. Blending the sounds of dubstep and breaks, these tracks treat us to something a little different from the Northern-based pair.

Scuffed Recordings - Reprezent Radio, 2nd Feb 2021 w/ Dawn Razor, Doctor Nick & Dubrunner

As one of the most exciting rising labels of the moment, Scuffed Recordings have been making serious movements as of late; from the announcement of their new Artist Development Scheme for women and non-binary identities, to the release of Scuffed Presents: Vol. 5. Their recent show on Reprezent brought together three mixes from Dawn Razor, Doctor Nick and Dubrunner. Tune in for two hours of deep jungle, techno and more club-heavy hits.

Steve Spacek - Follow Me (4TGANG Bootleg)

Following his recent release on Leeds-label Size 13's latest VA release, with Candle Lit, 4TGANG is back with a bootleg of Steve Spacek's Follow Me. Alike his previous success in reworking tracks - particularly Erykah Badu's Window Seat - this tune brings delicately chilled-out, electro vibes.

Phasmid - Losing My Mind [Me1 Records]

And finally, Phasmid joins the Me1 Records family this week, with the debut of his new track Losing My Mind. Described as an enchanting electro-breaks banger, it toys with dreamy synths and resonating vocal chops, placing these against clear-cut, industrial breaks for an electrifying sound.
