Muireann Bradley announces EP & shares 'True Love Will Find You In The End'

Rising Irish folk and blues star Muireann Bradley has announced her new EP, Blackwood Pew, arriving on 23rd October via Fontana Records/Verve Forecast, alongside a beautifully understated new cover of Daniel Johnston's cult classic 'True Love Will Find You In The End', available now.

The release marks a defining moment for the 19-year-old guitarist and singer-songwriter. Having earned widespread acclaim for breathing new life into traditional blues and folk repertoire, Blackwood Pew sees Bradley firmly stepping into her own voice, pairing three new original songs with carefully reimagined classics in her most personal collection to date.

Among the EP's highlights is the recently released 'Not Going Back', alongside Bradley's delicate interpretation of Johnston's beloved anthem. Speaking about the recording, she explains:

"I was fascinated by the song and Daniel's story after discovering him. His recording is deeply emotional and sincere, but it also has that childlike purity and naïvety that all his music has. I wanted to add a little more structure and complexity to the arrangement without losing the simplicity that's at the heart of why the song works."

The EP takes its name from the remarkable instrument heard throughout the recordings—a custom-built guitar handcrafted from Australian Blackwood reclaimed from a 200-year-old church pew in Tasmania. Built by a fan inspired after seeing Bradley perform live, the guitar has become central to both the sound and spirit of the record.

Already hailed by DIY as "Timeless" and described by CLASH as "a teenage artist with an old soul", Bradley has quickly become one of contemporary folk's most compelling young talents. Her debut album, I Kept These Old Blues, sold out its first pressing, while standout television appearances on Jools Holland's Hootenanny and The Late Late Show introduced her extraordinary fingerstyle playing to audiences around the world.

Her reputation as a live performer has continued to soar, with sold-out headline shows across Europe and North America, recent performances alongside Jeff Goldblum, support dates with Brooke Combe, and an appearance at California's Harvest Moon Gathering alongside Neil Young, Lana Del Rey and Beck. Most recently, she was personally invited by Fontaines D.C. drummer Tom Coll and folk collective Broadside Hacks to headline the sold-out Féile Moth in London.

Released alongside the new EP is Rose Dogs & Blackwood Pew, a physical double EP combining Bradley's acclaimed 2025 Rose Dogs collection with her latest recordings, offering fans the most complete portrait yet of an artist rapidly becoming one of the defining new voices in modern folk music.
