Martyna Basta shares new single “Sob and Moan” from upcoming album

Kraków-based artist Martyna Basta has released a new single, “Sob and Moan”, taken from her forthcoming third album Winged in Collapse, due 15 May 2026 via 7K, the experimental imprint of !K7 Records.

“Sob and Moan” combines harpsichord with processed, autotuned vocals, drawing on Basta’s interest in contrasts between older forms and contemporary production. It follows previous single “Hands Want To”.

Winged in Collapse explores themes of duality, bringing together elements of lullaby and lament across its ten tracks. The record features collaborations with LEYA, Rainy Miller, Felisha Ledesma and james K.

Basta, a classically trained guitarist, works across ambient, electronic and chamber-influenced music, often using processed instrumental recordings and field recordings as the basis of her compositions. Her 2023 album Slowly Forgetting, Barely Remembering helped establish her electroacoustic approach. She is set to perform a run of live dates in May and June, including shows in Vilnius, Oslo and Berlin.
