LA indie-rock quartet Sorry Ghost return with punchy new single ‘no disdain’

Los Angeles indie-rock quartet Sorry Ghost have released their new single ‘no disdain’, a driving, shimmering track that signals a band leaning confidently into their next phase.

Built around wiry, reverb-drenched guitars, tight rhythms and raw vocals, ‘no disdain’ blends breezy, beach-tinged indie rock with a restless energy beneath the surface. Twangy melodic lines give the track a buoyant feel, but there’s a sense of urgency running through it, pushing the song steadily forward.

At its core, ‘no disdain’ is about release — the quiet clarity that arrives once the dust settles after conflict. Rather than lingering on resentment, the song captures a moment of emotional resolve, trading bitterness for a sharper sense of self-awareness.

The track also highlights the band’s chemistry as they settle deeper into their sound. Guitars shimmer, the drums keep everything tightly wound, and the vocals sit front and centre — the kind of song that feels built to come alive on stage.

‘no disdain’ follows the band’s earlier 2026 release ‘inside voice’, which picked up support from outlets including LadyGunn, Our Culture, and ASBO Magazine. With their latest single, Sorry Ghost continue carving out space in the LA indie-rock scene with a sound that balances immediacy with sharp songwriting.

Alongside the release, the band have announced a short West Coast run of live dates this April, with shows scheduled in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Hollywood.

Tour dates

  • April 12 — Seattle, WA — Substation

  • April 13 — Portland, OR — Star Theatre

  • April 15 — San Francisco, CA — DNA Lounge

  • April 18 — Hollywood, CA — Nivessa Records

Originally formed by childhood friends Daniel Anton and Matthew Polito in Louisiana before relocating to Los Angeles, Sorry Ghost have quickly built momentum through a mix of DIY releases, viral online moments and a fast-growing fanbase.

The band currently draw 100,000+ monthly listeners, boast 350,000 social followers, and racked up 130 million views across their content in 2025 alone. Their early single ‘box breathing’ went viral with a live performance clip that paired indie-rock introspection with a comically detailed debate about baking ingredients — a snapshot of the band’s knack for mixing sincerity with absurdity.

With more releases planned throughout the year and an EP on the horizon, ‘no disdain’ feels like the next step in a run that could push the band from online buzz to indie-rock mainstay.
